Blue Commercial has appointed Mandy Spek as Head of Asset Management & Advisory. The appointment adds senior leadership to the asset management side of the business as that offering continues to grow.
Mandy brings more than a decade of Australian real estate experience, working across property, asset, and portfolio management.
Before moving into the agency environment, Mandy held roles with institutional owners and managers including, Cromwell Property Group, AMP Capital and ESR Australia & New Zealand.
That experience sits on the ownership side of the table, which is where the asset management brief differs from traditional property management.
Managing Director Gary O’Shea told The Industrialist the appointment was a significant step for the business, describing it as giving Blue a clear leader who can drive consistency and strengthen client relationships. “Mandy brings the right balance of client focus, operational discipline and asset-level thinking.”
Mandy said the move to agency was a natural next step after more than ten years with institutional owners, and that Blue Commercial offered the right platform to apply that experience while building out a team.
What This Means For Clients
The intent is to run assets the way an owner would run them. That means accountability for performance, decisions made with the asset’s long-term position in mind, and a service that holds up across the full hold period rather than just the reporting cycle.
For owners, the practical difference is a single point of accountability across leasing, operations and asset strategy, rather than those conversations happening separately.
